Editorial Policy

Sourcing

Every result, scoreline, scorer and standing we publish is checked against a primary source before it goes live. Primary sources are:

• Official competition and federation results systems
• Official club, team and federation announcements
• Verified accounts of governing bodies and competitions
• Post-match press conferences and official media releases

Where we report something first published elsewhere, we say so and link to the original. We do not reproduce other publishers' articles, in whole or in part.

Accuracy

We separate fact from opinion. We do not present speculation as reporting, and we do not attribute statements to anyone unless the statement is on the record.

If a detail cannot be verified, we leave it out rather than guess.

Use of technology

We use software tools, including AI-assisted drafting, to help produce routine coverage such as match reports and results round-ups. Every article is reviewed and edited by a person before publication, and the facts in it are checked against the primary sources above.

We do not publish machine-written content unreviewed, and we do not use AI to fabricate quotes, statistics or events.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it and say what changed.

Independence

Our editorial decisions are made by our editorial team. Commercial relationships do not determine what we cover or how we cover it. Any sponsored or partner content is labelled as such.
